As most of you know we always have a story to tell...one morning while we were at Ono we decided to take a walk on the "big beach." Nothing unusual except that Blake spotted an enormous amount of birds he decided to chase with the encouragement of daddy! As you will see Blake made his way towards the birds as my mom started to notice bird eggs laying in the sand. Those of you who know mom know that she can never resist any kind of bird eggs! However as we continued the birds started to get VERY close to Blake and started hovering and swooping down on him like they would pick him up and take him away or peck him, which of course was what I was fearing at this point. As I am trying to get to Blake as fast as I can my dad noticed signs stating "bird sanctuary" criminal and civil penalties enforced! So as fast as we could mom redeposited all the eggs she had collected and I collected mine (aka Blake) we made our way out of there as soon as we possibly could! :) Just another story from the Evans clan!

A Week at Ono Island
We are so blessed to have a place like Ono to go to during the summer. "The Nesting Place" is a wonderful place to visit and make memories year after year, this year was no exception. Blake was a real trooper in the car (it takes about 8 hours to get there), so that made the trip that more enjoyable. We sent many mornings and evenings in the sun building sand castles and chasing birds. Blake loves the ocean, a true water baby, he was not afraid at all. The "big boys" enjoyed fishing just about everyday and Blake discovered he loved fishing to, although he would not get close once he caught something :) We loved watching the dolphins, who never let us down, we can always count on seeing a few during the week and Blake loved that. Here are some pictures of our week...
Josh and daddy loved to kayak and find the dolphins, here is their best attempt, I will have to say they did really well. They ended up being surrounded by a few dolphins that swam with them as the kayak.
John and Blake relaxing after a long day...yes we have not given up the paci at bedtime yet but we have mastered the potty, YEAH!!! One thing at a time!

T-daddy brought Blake this whale and he loved riding it in the ocean and his pool, although the whale was MUCH bigger than the pool :)

The best seat in the house...in the hammock!
