Psalms 25:4-5

Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

Fall is FINALLY here!!!

FINALLY...Fall is in the air and we are soooo glad!! Fall has to be the best season, if you ask me. I love everything about fall, the colors, the cooler weather and the anticipation of the holiday seasons. Welcome Fall we are so glad you are here!!

Blake continues to amaze us each day at 28 months Blake:
Is communicating very well, each day there is something knew he can verbalize, he loves to tell us "one more time" for something we need to do again, "mommy has to go to work" and "she will be back" when I am leaving for work.
His hair is VERY long and he hates getting it cut so we go as long as we can between hair cuts.
His eyes are still stark blue, he can claim them from his daddy, and both great-granddaddy's.
His favorite things are trains, BIG trucks, being outside, his blanket and pap, Marley and Berkley, looking for the moon and stars, listening for the train whistle, and let us not forget the best of all the ICE CREAM TRUCK.
His favorite shows are Super Why, Dora the Explore and Diego, The Wonder Pets, The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny and that super-dee-duper purple dinosaur Barney.
His favorite movies: Horton Hears a Who is still number 1, followed by the Lion King
He absolutely hates loud noises that are at a close distance, hence the reason the "Big Dig" in Greenville this weekend only last 5 minutes for us.
He loves to color and draw, driving his golf cart and john deere tractor around on the driveway, playing on the swing set, climbing his rock wall, dancing and singing to his favorite songs and building all kind of things out of his blocks.
He loves to sing the "La La" song by Rod Stewart.

We took a HUGE step this last weekend...it is terrible to say but we have not been to church since Blake was born. I will not give you all the reason, or excuses, as you may be thinking but we FINALLY went as a family this past Sunday. I will have to say I was more anxious than anyone, but Blake did fine, they said it took about 10 to 15 minutes for him to relax a little but by the time we came to get him he was playing with the blocks on the floor and didn't look traumatized at all, which filled this mamas' heart with joy. They say it gets better each time, I hope that is the same with us.

Here are some priceless moments from this past week.

A boy and his dogs, there is no better friendship than this!

This is just one of those priceless moments.

Oh...The love of Milkshakes!!

Blake has had a runny nose and sore throat this past week so I introduced him to milkshakes and they are a hit!!

Sharing with daddy.

Milkshake=Happy little boy!
Love this face!

Blake's first play buddy.

Blake has found a new friend to pal around with. Harker and Blake have become great friends over the past few weeks and it thrills my heart to see Blake interacting with him so well. We meet Harker and his mommy at the park at least once a week and on this past Saturday we had great fun at Roper Mountain Science Center. Here are a few pictures from the past few play dates.

Yes! Blake did touch the snake, again and again, and not to the likings of his mommy!

Ahoy mates!
Check out those chicks!! No really wonder what they are looking at so intensely.

I love this..like to old men shooting the bull.
Checking out the caterpillars, Blake and Harker got to place them on the butterfly bushes.

Random Shots

Blake and Berkley have become the best of pals, he refers to her as "Hey Berks."

Blake loves to wear his daddy's shoes.

Blake's two rides:

Here is Blake checking it all out, he hasn't pressed the accelerator yet!

Blake almost ready to go!

Blake is off and away, he didn't get off until we had to make him come in!

Blake got real comfortable real fast, already driven one-handed!

Poor Marley! We always have to torture the "old man," but Blake loved it!

My Big Green Tactor

Lets just say that Josh is a wonderful husband but an amazing daddy!! As school ends each year Josh takes on the role of Mr. Mom while I am at work and he does a GREAT job at it. Blake and his daddy have spent the last 2 1/2 months doing "boy" stuff while mommy was at work. There have been MANY days that I have come home from work and they both would be covered from head to toe with grass and dirt, from the slip-n-slide or just from playing in the dirt. Josh loves being a daddy and it is evident in everything he does, we are so lucky to have him!!

We FINALLY got Blake on and riding his motorized vehicles!!! We bought Blake a batman 4-wheeler for Christmas and the John Deere Tractor for his birthday which until recently had never been rode on, except for mommy:) Blake LOVES his tractor and LOVES to ride it so we have had great fun the past week watching him take on a little independence. No DiDi, we haven't mastered the golf cart yet but we will soon:)

I just LOVE this face! I will have to say I prayed he would get my eyes and Josh's lips and that is exactly what he got:)
Blake has recently found a love for the stars and the "nightime noises," at night after bath we go out and find the north star and any other stars that are shining and listen to the crickets and tree frogs and he always wants to sit in his "blue chair."

Brownie Mix...."This is so Good"

Blake and I made brownies this past week and as the photos show Blake LOVED the mix. I love spending time like this with him, there are so many priceless moments!!

Blake's tube surgery

So...this past Friday went had tubes put in Blake's ears. After a full year of constant ear infections the ENT specialist thought it was time. I will have to say Blake did great, mom was a little anxious, as you can imagine. The worst part was when he woke up from the surgery and was very upset and agitated from the anesthesia. Once at home it took a couple of hours but Blake was back to himself in no time. The drops we have to put in his ears are another issue though, nobody likes drops in their ears and our little man is no exception, it is like fighting a horse:) Josh and I are hopeful that this will help Blake and lessen the amount of ear infections he has. Here are a few photos of Blake before surgery.....
