Psalms 25:4-5

Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

Sweet little angle, there is nothing more precious!

Somebody had him laughing!! But check out all my teeth!!

Starting WAY to early, daddy looks proud!

This was at the rehersal dinner, I must say he just may be the cutest baby there ever was!

Blake was having himself a good time at Mellow Mushroom the night before all the wedding festivities began.

Birthday Party Pictures :)

"This was good cake but I think I am all done"

This is what I call enjoying yourself!!

I love this picture, he is having so much fun (check out the red icing on the back of his head)

This is the "I am not so sure about this" look!

We had such a great time with family and friends for Blake's birthday party! Thank you to all of those who have loved us and loved Blake so much this first year, we look forward to spending many more happy moments like these with you!

On Vacation!

It has been far to long since the last blog and a lot has happened since then!! I am sorry to say this post will not be accompanied by any pictures because we forgot to bring the camera-computer hook ups, we will definitely be updating the pictures once we get back from the beach.
We had a great birthday party for Blake at the park with lots of friends and family!! Blake absolutely LOVED his cake and destroyed it with lots of enthusiasm, can't wait to show you the pictures!
We have officially moved out of the Norwood house, we are temporarily living with Josh's mom and dad in Greenville awaiting our move to the new house on Breckenwood Drive! We are very excited because it is a MUCH bigger house with a MUCH bigger yard!!
Aunt Niki finally became Mrs. Turco on June 13th, the wedding was fantastic and the bride was radiant and beautiful!! We all had a fantastic time at the wedding, Josh and I were able to spend the night downtown while my mom and dad kept Blake, which was really nice considering we haven't done that since Blake arrived!!
We are currently on vacation in Gulf Shores Alabama on Ono Island. We are enjoying the sun and some relaxation of just doing nothing!! Blake loves the sand and ocean, unfortunately we can only go out in the early morning and early evening because it is just so hot!!
Anyways, LOTS of pictures to post once we get back to SC and settled!
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far!

Happy Birthday to Blake!!

Blake enjoying his pancakes on his birthday!!

Today we celebrate Blake's 1st birthday!!! As I think about the past year it never fails to amaze me how fast the year has gone by and how much Blake has grown over the past 12 months. At a year old he weights 25 lbs and 12 ounces, he is saying "mama," "dada," "a-oh," and the newest word to the list is "iit" (aka light). He IS walking, letting go of furniture and making it across the room now, and he loves to walk between Josh and I as he laughs all the way. We are slowing starting to enjoy "people" food, he loves hot dogs (as we found out at the cookout last week), mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese, bread, pancakes, waffles etc.. however, we are still working on the meats and vegetables. He still prefers the mashed up carrots and green beans versus the real ones:) He continues to be our outside boy, he absolutely LOVES to be outside, going for walks and to the park to swing is his favorite thing to do. He still prefers to be barefoot versus shoes, he gets this honestly, both mom and dad hate shoes as well.:) All in all, we think he is perfect and we love watching he discover new things.

Josh and I were reminiscing about the day I fell out of the swing and the day we made the trip to Greenville Memorial and knowing we would not return home without a "baby on board."
Life has definitely changed over the past year and we have learned a lot about ourselves and each other, I think the most important lesson that I have learned is to find the joy in each day, Blake reminds me of that each day!! He is a true blessing and an absolute joy, I have said many times that being a parent is the hardest job I have ever done but I is truly the BEST thing I have ever done!!

Memorial Day Cookout

We had a great time at Max and Eliza's for a cookout on Memorial Day, we had great food and great fun with our friends on Norwood Street. Surprisingly we were able to get some great shots of all our babies together:)

To our "family" on Norwood: We have loved having you guys across the street and have loved getting to know each and everyone of you!! We have had the best time sharing life's many wonderful moments with you and will miss you all very much!

Mommies and their babies (left to right): Me and Blake, Elizabeth and Bolen Fields, Callie and Mary English Hammett, Eliza, Lilly Ruth and Thomas Hyde.

Bolen is holding onto Blake as Lilly Ruth takes down her brother Thomas!!

Wonder what they are talking about!!

The 5 babies of Norwood, Thomas Hyde, Blake Eskew, Bolen Fields, Mary English Hammett and Lilly Ruth Hyde. As you can see Mary English was not happy about sitting in the grass and it looks as if Lilly Ruth may be plugging her ears:)

Happy Norwood babies!! This was before Mary English had had enough of that itchy grass!

Blake and Bolen ready for a ride!

Mommy and her favorite little guy!!

Special Moments

I will have to admit, Blake does favor his daddy quite a bit!!

My two favorite guys, sporting their matching outfits:)

Blake loves to put his feet on the table!:)

Just a few more shots!!

Have you ever seen anything more adorable :)

Just out for a cruz in my car

Marley watching as Blake taunts him from the bathtub!

We are still here!!!

We are still here!!! and busier than ever.....Blake has taken his first steps, had his first ear infection and his new favorite words are "da da," "ma-ma" and "a oh." We are trying to say a lot more but just not quite there yet. We have LOTS going on... we are moving, we have sold out house and bought another WONDERFUL house with a HUGE yard!!! We are very excited about the move but very tired too! Blake's first birthday will be on the 29th and we are planning a party in the park, since that is Blake's favorite place to be. We can't believe it has already been a year, but what a wonderful year indeed, we are truely blessed!!!!

Here are a few pictures to enjoy!

DeeDee came for a visit and when mommy and she came home daddy had Blake going for a ride in one of our many moving boxes out in the front yard!

Berkley loves to lay by the door, but Blake has decided he likes it too, wonder who will move first??

A few shots from a sunny day we had a few days ago:

It was so funny, this was the first time I had put Blake down in the grass without anything underneath him and he wouldn't put his right foot down, he wasn't sure what it was :)

Caught in the act of climbing on Berkley

Josh loves to put Blake on his shoulders and chant "Rudy Rudy" as you can see Blake thinks it is hilarious

He looks like such a big boy, he loves to ride his rocking horse.

Look at all of those teeth!!!

Blake waiting for Berkley and Marley to come in, who shall I torture first???

Look at me I am doing it all by myself!!

You probably can't tell from the picture but if you look close you can see that daddy just caught me in the dog's water bowls:)

Sorry it has been so long with posting pictures on the blog, things are getting a little hectic around here with soccer season, aunt Niki's fast approaching wedding and trying to sell the house, days are over before the get started good.

My little man is growing so fast, I wish the days would just slow down! It is hard to believe that in 2 months we will be celebrating his first birthday!! He is into everything, one of his favorite things is the dog bowls, and splashing the water out all over the floor. He is also loving all of mommy's things that are in hands reach, we are at the age that you have to constantly watch him! He has all front 8 teeth, yes I said 8, you would think he would love to eat solid foods but he doesn't like it so much, so we are slowly introducing solid foods at this point. He is pulling himself up on everything and especially loves to climb on and over Berkley, that's our golden, and bless her she just lays there and lets him all the while licking his head and face. He has also learned to turn the light switch in his bedroom on and off, so many times we find him standing up in his crib turning the lights on and off. He is holding his own sippy cup and loves his juice!! He is learning to wave bye-bye, but hates it when anybody goes bye-bye.

What can I say, life is still good. We are looking forward to warmer weather when we can play outside, which by the way is Blake's absolute favorite place to be!! We are also looking forward to wedding festivities and a trip to Ono Island this summer.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures!!!

Snow Days!!

I forgot to add our snowman, daddy spent a few hours Monday morning building our 5 ft snowman, which is still standing today!

Blake and I took the dogs and went to Chattanooga for a week while we had some work done on the house, we had a great visit with DeeDee, T-daddy and Uncle "J." Daddy came to join us on Saturday and we headed home on Sunday in the mist of a snow storm. Here are some picutres of our visit to Tennessee and of us enjoying the snow (we got 5 inches!!!).

This is our house, look at all that snow!!!
