Psalms 25:4-5

Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

We are still here!!!

We are still here!!! and busier than ever.....Blake has taken his first steps, had his first ear infection and his new favorite words are "da da," "ma-ma" and "a oh." We are trying to say a lot more but just not quite there yet. We have LOTS going on... we are moving, we have sold out house and bought another WONDERFUL house with a HUGE yard!!! We are very excited about the move but very tired too! Blake's first birthday will be on the 29th and we are planning a party in the park, since that is Blake's favorite place to be. We can't believe it has already been a year, but what a wonderful year indeed, we are truely blessed!!!!

Here are a few pictures to enjoy!

DeeDee came for a visit and when mommy and she came home daddy had Blake going for a ride in one of our many moving boxes out in the front yard!

Berkley loves to lay by the door, but Blake has decided he likes it too, wonder who will move first??

A few shots from a sunny day we had a few days ago:

It was so funny, this was the first time I had put Blake down in the grass without anything underneath him and he wouldn't put his right foot down, he wasn't sure what it was :)

Caught in the act of climbing on Berkley

Josh loves to put Blake on his shoulders and chant "Rudy Rudy" as you can see Blake thinks it is hilarious

He looks like such a big boy, he loves to ride his rocking horse.

Look at all of those teeth!!!

Blake waiting for Berkley and Marley to come in, who shall I torture first???

Look at me I am doing it all by myself!!

You probably can't tell from the picture but if you look close you can see that daddy just caught me in the dog's water bowls:)

Sorry it has been so long with posting pictures on the blog, things are getting a little hectic around here with soccer season, aunt Niki's fast approaching wedding and trying to sell the house, days are over before the get started good.

My little man is growing so fast, I wish the days would just slow down! It is hard to believe that in 2 months we will be celebrating his first birthday!! He is into everything, one of his favorite things is the dog bowls, and splashing the water out all over the floor. He is also loving all of mommy's things that are in hands reach, we are at the age that you have to constantly watch him! He has all front 8 teeth, yes I said 8, you would think he would love to eat solid foods but he doesn't like it so much, so we are slowly introducing solid foods at this point. He is pulling himself up on everything and especially loves to climb on and over Berkley, that's our golden, and bless her she just lays there and lets him all the while licking his head and face. He has also learned to turn the light switch in his bedroom on and off, so many times we find him standing up in his crib turning the lights on and off. He is holding his own sippy cup and loves his juice!! He is learning to wave bye-bye, but hates it when anybody goes bye-bye.

What can I say, life is still good. We are looking forward to warmer weather when we can play outside, which by the way is Blake's absolute favorite place to be!! We are also looking forward to wedding festivities and a trip to Ono Island this summer.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures!!!

Snow Days!!

I forgot to add our snowman, daddy spent a few hours Monday morning building our 5 ft snowman, which is still standing today!

Blake and I took the dogs and went to Chattanooga for a week while we had some work done on the house, we had a great visit with DeeDee, T-daddy and Uncle "J." Daddy came to join us on Saturday and we headed home on Sunday in the mist of a snow storm. Here are some picutres of our visit to Tennessee and of us enjoying the snow (we got 5 inches!!!).

This is our house, look at all that snow!!!

He is on the Move!!

Blake is on the move!!! He has officially mastered the art of crawling, he is now trying to pull himself up into a standing position, something new everyday! He has a full set of teeth, all 4 front top teeth and 3 out of the 4 front bottom teeth, thank goodness for tylenol in these last few weeks.
It is amazing to watch him grow and figure out different things, life is truely a miracle.
Sucking his fingers, just like his daddy did!

He absolutely LOVES this car.

He is a crawling machine!!

8 Months Old!!!

It is hard to believe that Blake is 8 months old today, it seems like yesterday we brought him home! Everyone said the first year would go by so quickly and they were absolutely right. Blake is into everything, he loves to chase the dogs around the house in his walker, get into the dog bowls when they are eating and wants to touch and feel everything in site! He has finally mastered the art of getting into a sitting position from his belly, he now enjoys moving himself around in a circle while sitting on his bottom. He pulls his knees up under him and rocks but can't seem to figure out how to go forward, he manuvers himself around by flopping down then sitting up, flopping down and sitting up...we are just awaiting the moment he figures out how to go forward. He is cutting his 3rd tooth the bottom incisor and GiGi says she can see the top teeth too, we have had a few sleepless nights lately needless to say thank goodness for tylenol!! He is babbling all the time but hasn't said a "word" yet, but we are trying, we think he will say "dog" before he says anything else. Needless to say, he is a bundle of joy and a true blessing from God.

Blake's First Snow!

So we got to see a little snow this winter!! I think Josh was more excited than anyone of us, he is like a big kid when it comes to snow. We got up pretty early to go out and grab a few pictures, around here if you don't get up early the snow will be gone be the afternoon!! Here are a few captured memories:

Happy New Year!!

Blake's new favorite thing is to rasberry

Blake watching the train at DeeDee's house

Happy New Year!! 2008 was a great year as we welcomed Blake into our lives, we certainly could not have asked for anything sweeter and more special. He is growing soooo fast, before I turn around good we will be celebrating his 1st birthday. He now has 2 teeth, the 2 front bottoms finally broke through and I think we are working on one or two more!! We are on the verge of crawling, he is getting up on all fours and rocking so at any moment he will be up and moving! I can only imagine how "in to everything" he will be, I can't keep him out of the dog's bowls as it is now!! Oh well, he will know how to keep me on my toes for sure.
Christmas was great, we spent Christmas day here in Spartanburg with the Eskews and then traveled to Chattanooga the day after Christmas to share the holidays with the Evans. Blake got soooooooo much stuff, so much we have had to make our spare bedroom his playroom!! Only 7 months old and already taking over the house:) Oh well, life is good!!
Last weekend we went to Chapel Hill, NC and we hope it is only the visit of many, the choice of school of course, to visit my cousin Catherine and her family while taking in a basketball game. Uncle John turned 15 on Sunday and they (mom, dad, Josh and John) got to spent the afternoon in the Dean dome, what a fun time they had! Blake and mommy spent the day with Catherine and the boys to have a photo shoot, Blakes 6+ month pictures. They turned out so cute, we had all the naked baby shots done since next time the rolls and chub will not be as much. Thanks Catherine for spending the time and effort to give us great memories!
For now we are home for a while (we hope), Josh is getting ready for another soccer season at Dorman so things will really stop to hop around here. As for me I have had a great week off to spend some time with Blake and have loved every minute, but I am back at it tomorrow, spring break can't come soon enough!!!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!!!!
Blake and I had so much fun taking these pictures, he actually didn't mind the santa suit at all!
I thought these were some great shots and I have had a hard time deciding which one I should send out, but you will be sure to get one or the other! I tried to get a shot of all my "children" but the two fury ones would not cooperate as you can see.
Blake had his 6 month check-up yesterday and yes with that comes shots but I think its more tramatic for mom than him :) The doctor said he is perfect and that he is doing just fine. He now weighs in at 21 lbs 6.4 ounces and is 29 inches long (95th percentile in both areas). He loves to play with the paper on the doctors table, wish I could bring some home! He is such a sweet baby, he is learning to "love" (our hugs) and give kisses (in the baby way). He is babbling a lot and has the best laugh, we love to get him going. He is an absolute joy and a true blessing.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!! We have so much to be thankful for! Blake is now 6 months old, unbelievable how time flies. On November 16th Blake was baptised, it was a beautiful day, Dr. Dudley and Dr. Filston (who married Josh and I) did the service and it was great. Blake was very comfortable with Dr. Dudley and was fasinated by the shiny cross that was around his neck. The day was even more special because it was my grandmother Louise's birthday, we know she was shining down on us and saying "isn't this special." Thanks mom and dad, aunt Martha and uncle Chuck for a great afternoon luncheon!
Thanksgiving was great, we were with the Metcalf clan at GiGi's house, Blake met his cousins Eli and Riley and can't wait till next year when they will be running around and playing together. We had a great day and loved spending time with family!
Blake is now sitting on his on and is trying to crawl, I guess that will be the next "big" milestone. He has a tooth that has poked its head up but is being stubborned to come all the way out. Lots of drool these days we are just waiting for the whole thing to arrive now!
He is so much fun, he loves his puppy dogs and laughs when they are playing together.
As for now we are getting ready for Christmas, Blake loves the lights on the Christmas tree and this morning he had a surprise under the tree, the polar express train has come to visit and he loves to watch it go around under the tree and hear the whistle blow! Lots of fun times ahead and we are looking forward to each one!
